Who handles your information
Next Wave Logistics is responsible for the customer information used to provide our Portsmouth-to-Jersey freight service. For privacy enquiries, email info@nextwavelogistics.co.uk.
Information we use
We use your account name, email and shipping ID; booking and retailer details; goods descriptions, values, weights and sizes; recipient contact details and addresses; customs declaration acceptance records; and payment references and status. SumUp handles card details on its secure checkout; the website does not store your full card number or security code.
Why we use it
We use this information to manage accounts, fulfil bookings, arrange delivery, confirm payments and respond to enquiries. Contract performance is the basis for providing the service. Customs, tax and accounting records may be required by law. We also have a legitimate interest in preventing fraud, protecting the website and resolving disputes. Where consent is required for an optional use, we will ask separately.
Who receives it
Relevant information may be shared with freight and delivery partners, Customs and other authorities where legally required, SumUp for payments, and providers supporting our website and service emails. We share information needed for the relevant task. Where information is processed outside the UK or Jersey, applicable international-transfer requirements and safeguards must be met.
Keeping information
We retain information for the service and applicable legal, accounting and dispute-resolution obligations, and no longer than necessary for those purposes. Retention depends on the type of record and the legal requirements that apply. Contact us for information about a particular record.
Cookies and account storage
The website uses essential cookies and browser storage for account sign-in and password-protected preview access. These are needed to remember access and keep private account pages secure. We do not currently use advertising cookies on the website. Any future non-essential tracking will need appropriate notice and consent.
Your rights and complaints
Depending on the applicable law and circumstances, you may request access, correction, deletion or restriction of your information, object to processing, or request data portability. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it. Some records must be retained by law. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
You can raise a concern with us or contact the UK Information Commissioner’s Office or the Jersey Office of the Information Commissioner, as appropriate.
